Sample used 3 rows of plain netting over #3 kn before beginning first row of stitch and 2 rows after ending last row of stitch.

Began with 19 loops.


NOTE:
The amount of increase can vary depending on how close the chains are placed in round/row 1, (sample has them start 4 loops apart) and how many rows are done with the chain stitch.

Number of loops needed in round/row to begin stitch varies depending on how close the chains are placed in round/row 1. Number of loops listed below assumes that chains are started 4 loops apart.

STITCH INSTRUCTIONS


Circular Netting Diamond Mesh Netting
number of loops: multiple of 5 number of loops: (multiple of 5) + 4 loops
 
Round #1 Mesh stick: #3 kn Row #1 Mesh stick: #3 kn

Net 1 knot in each loop for 3 loops, net 2 knots in next loop, *net 1 knot in each loop for 4 loops, net 2 knots in next loop*; repeat from * to *.

Net 1 knot in each loop for 4 loops, net 2 knots in next loop; repeat across row, ending with net 1 knot in each loop for 4 loops.

Net 1 knot in each loop for 4 loops, net 2 knots in next loop, *net 1 knot in each loop for 5 loops, net 2 knots in next loop*; repeat from * to *.
