| CK: | CK stands for Collecting Knot. It is used in circular netting. It is the final knot of each round and is tied by hand using an overhand knot.
A CK is tied at the end of each round even if the instructions do not mention it. |
| Cord: | This is the cloth strip, rope, or crocheted yarn chain that is 2-3 yards long. It is placed through the foundation loop and tied into a circle. Your foot is then placed through the circle and holds it firmly against the floor. It helps provide tension to tie the knots. |
| Foundation loop: | Circle of crochet thread that has the cord through it and has the thread from the needle tied to it. The first row or round of knots are tied onto this loop. |
| kn: | Kn stands for double pointed knitting needle. The knitting needle is used as a mesh stick when netting with thread. |
| Repeat from * to *: | Follow the instructions between the * * for the rest of the row or round. |
| Repeat: | Follow the instructions for the rest of the row or round. |
| Without mesh stick net: | Wrap the thread as usual, but remove the mesh stick before the knot is tightened. This means that no new loop is formed.
This technique is usually used at the beginning of a round in circular netting to join several loops together when one of those loops was formed with the CK, or to tie the final loops together in Square Mesh Netting. |
