| 1. Hold the needle so that the end with the little hole in it is up. | |

2. Run the crochet thread through the hole. |
3. Tie the end to the rest of the thread so that the thread won't go back through the hole. |

4. Hold the needle in your right hand. |
5. With your left hand bring the thread down over the front of lower flattened end of the needle. |

6. Place your left index finger behind the flattened end of the needle. |
7. Guide the thread up along the left side of the needle and bring it over the front of the upper flattened end of the needle. |

8. Place your right index finger behind the flattened end of the needle. NOTE: Always remember to push the thread through the slit from front to back of the flattened end of the needle. |
9. Repeat steps 4-8 about 5 times. The exact number of times is not important. |

10. Turn the needle over so that the thread you have just placed on the needle is now on the right side of the needle. |
11. Repeat steps 9 and 10 until the needle is as full as you desire. This will depend on the thickness of your thread and the size loop you will be putting the full needle through. Then clip the thread. |
