Netting on cloth

INSTRUCTIONS


Multiple of 4 stitches needed for this edge.

CLOTH CENTER

Mark border in 1/8" intervals (or desired spacing).
Round 1 mesh stick: 5/8"

With sewing needle in lieu of netting needle and about 24" length of thread, net 1 knot in each mark. .


Rounds 2-3 mesh stick: #1 kn

Net 1 knot in each loop.


TOPS (decrease stitch)
Round 4 mesh stick: #5 kn

Net 1 knot in each loop.


Round 5 mesh stick: #5 kn

Without mesh stick net loop formed by CK and loop to the right of the CK together, now with mesh stick *net 2 loops together*; repeat from * to *.


FRENCH KNOTS (decorative stitch)
Round 6 mesh sticks: top #1 kn; bottom #2 kn

Over #1 kn net 2 knots into loop formed by CK, *in next loop net 1 knot over both sticks and 2 knots over #1 kn*; repeat from * to *.


ACORN (edge)
Round 7 mesh stick: 1/4"

Net 5 knots in one loop, net 1 knot in next loop; repeat.


Round 8 mesh stick: #1 kn

Net 1 knot in each loop.


Round 9 mesh sticks: top #1 kn; bottom #2 kn

Skip 1 loop, over both sticks net 1 knot in next loop, over #1 kn net 1 knot in each loop for 4 loops; repeat.


Round 10 mesh sticks: top #1 kn; bottom #6 kn

Skip 1 loop, over both sticks net 1 knot in one loop, over #1 kn net 1 knot in each loop for 3 loops; repeat.


Round 11 mesh sticks: top #1 kn; bottom #7 kn

Skip 1 loop, over both sticks net 1 knot in one loop, over #1 kn net 1 knot in each loop for 2 loops; repeat.


Round 12 mesh sticks: top #1 kn; bottom 1/4"

Skip large loop, over all sticks net 1 knot in one loop, over #1 kn net 1 knot in 1 loop; repeat.
