29,560 knots about 30" by 50" made using size 10 crochet cotton


INSTRUCTIONS

 

This lace cloth was made with 15 Belmont Square blocks joined together. After the squares were made and joined the following border was netted to the rectangle.

 

 
 
Border
Round 1 mesh stick: #5 kn 484 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop with 2 knots in each corner.

 
Round 2 mesh stick: #5 kn 488 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop with 2 knots in each corner.

 
Round 3 mesh stick: #5 kn 492 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop with 2 knots in each corner.

 
Round 4 mesh stick: #5 kn 496 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop with 2 knots in each corner.

 
Round 5 mesh stick: #5 500 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop with 2 knots in each corner.

 
Round 6 mesh stick: 5/8" 1000 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop for 4 loops (CK would count as one of those knots), net 6 knots in next loop, (putting 6 knots in each corner loop); repeat.

 
Round 7 mesh stick: #5 kn 600 knots in round

Net 5 loops together (loop formed by CK would count as one of those loops, net 1 knot in each loop for 5 loops; repeat.

 
Round 8 mesh stick: #5 kn 600 knots in round

Net 1 knot in each loop.
