Tiered Center

I was making a large number of small doilies and I wanted them to be different. I was tired of using the same centers over and over. I wondered what the center would look like if I used a large mesh stick in the first two rows before using the small one. I originally called this center Marigold, but decided to rename it Tiered. I thought it looked like a tiered cake.

Instructions for the Sample Pictured Above

Round 1	mesh stick: 1/2″ Form a grommet with 32 loops (last one tied by hand with CK).	32 knots in round

Round 2	mesh stick: 1/2″ Net l knot in each loop.	32 knots in round

Rounds 3-5	mesh stick: #3 kn Net l knot in each loop.	32 knots in round
